BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

PARK RULES

 

Our caravan park and camping rules ensure that each one of our guests has a peaceful and enjoyable escape with us. Please take time to read the below so you are aware of our policies.

 

If you have any questions a member of our team will be happy to help you. 

​

  • We are a family site, and we have a strict No Noise policy after 10.30 pm. 

  • Quiet hours are from 10:30 pm - 7:00 am at the caravan park. Anyone continually causing a disturbance will unfortunately be asked to leave. 

  • No open fires, Campfires or Disposable BBQs are allowed in any circumstances. 

  • Parents/Guardians are to ensure that their children are always supervised whilst on the premises, especially in the play  areas.

  •  Our play areas are not supervised, and it is your responsibility to ensure that they do not hurt themselves or others. 

  •  Pitches are allocated on the day of arrival, unless you have paid the appropriate fee to choose your own pitch

  • All cars must be removed from the site immediately after setting up (This is due to fire regulations specific to our site. You can park your car in our pub car park on site), If your camping with us on the tent field you are allowed one car next to your pitched tent, car access will be restricted from 8pm till 8am.

  • Please position your caravan with the “Jockey Wheel” facing the roadways and Motor homes facing forward, with awnings  pitched normal side only.

  • Well-behaved dogs are allowed on site but must always be on a short lead, please clean all dog mess up immediately. 

 

 

Failing to comply with the above rules may result in you being asked to leave, and no refund will be given.

TOILET &  SHOWER BLOCK

 

 As part of your booking our team will service the toilet and shower block in the morning between the times of 8am and 12pm. 

​

 Outside of this time we provide essential cleaning materials and operate a clean as you go policy, for everyone's enjoyment please leave the facilities in a serviceable condition after you have used them 

​

 Our team will check these throughout the day to top up soaps and toilet rolls where required. 

​

Please ensure you use the hose provided to leave the Elsan in clean appropriate condition for the next guest. Please don't place any of the following down the elsan: Food waste, Toilet paper (Any form of paper). The waste provision is shallow and therefore failure to follow these instructions will lead to blockages and facilities being unable to operate until a contractor can come and clear. Please use the Sanitary bins for wastepaper.

RIVER DERWANT 

​

Please do not fish, place boats or play in the river to the rear of the site, this area is protected and private and doesn't belong to the Grouse & Claret, There are life rings in case of emergency, water levels will vary at time please be careful around deep water and never go down to the river alone.

GENERAL WASTE, RECYLCING & OTHER WASTE 

​

We have bins located in the rear service way to the pub. Please ask a member of the team if need assistance locating these. Please don't place food waste in the elsan or vanity bins in the toilet and shower block.

PAYMENT POLICY

​

Please be aware that our campsite is now card payment only and payment will be requested at the time of booking, once your enquiry has been confirmed by a member of the team.

 

Should you choose to do so you can add your payment details to your booking and delay the payment until 48hrs before you check in, our system will charge the card 48hrs before your due to visit if you haven't paid already at this point.

 

If this payment bounces the booking will be cancelled

All extras mentioned in the prices section of this page apply on verbal or written agreement

CANCELATION POLICY​

​

We require 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. If cancelled less than 48hrs hours the full payment for your stay will be taken from the card held on file.  We recommend you take out holiday insurance to protect yourself against possible loss.

​

As the person making the booking, you are responsible for ensuring your party complies with these Terms and Conditions, and by booking you are confirming that you and your party will adhere to them.

FLOODING & POOR WEATHER POLICY

​

While we hope all stays will be dry and bright, there will be occasions where rain and other weather will mean that we need to make adjustments to stays, in particular the camping field that may be unsuitable to camp on if weather has been particularly poor.

​

We have the river Derwent that runs along the rear of our site and over winter months we do get flood alerts from time to time, we will notify all guests if an alert is in place and the actions we need to take.

​

If we have to cancel your stay due to weather we will issue a full refund

​

MARCH PROMOTION FREE NIGHTS STAY

​

Only valid when booking to stay on dates in MARCH 2026, Must have booked to stay on Friday and Saturday nights to qualify.

​

This offer cannot be added on while your staying with us and must be prebooked before your arrival

​

This offer can be amended or changed without prior notice, Managers decision is final.

​

MARCH PROMOTION 20% OFF MAIN MEALS

Book at https://www.grouseclaretcaravanpark.co.uk/ and you will receive 20% off food on the main menu on Sunday nights between 6pm and 8pm during your stay.

This discount does not apply to; promotional offers, privilege card holders, or menus such as Christmas, Mother’s Day, etc. This offer will not be valid after the duration of the stay. It is only available at sites that are Marston’s Inns, and can only be used as part of on an online booking. This offer has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for any other goods or services. This offer does not include any travel or other associated costs and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
